The Cleveland Clinic did a randomized controlled trial of two groups with back pain: one group did live-streamed group yoga classes (16-minute sessions four times a week) and the other group continued medication as usual. The study found that 12 weeks of live-streamed / virtual classes reduced the intensity of back pain, improved back function, reduced pain medication use, and improved participants’ quality of sleep.
