I’ve been practicing yoga since 1994, teaching Yoga since 2018, and qigong since 2019.
I first found yoga as a remedy for life’s aches and pains, and then I became inspired by the internal calmness experienced with each class. Yoga teaches us to move with intention and cultivates awareness. Not only do I feel better in my body, but my days seem to go a bit smoother when I’m practicing Yoga.
When I found Qigong, I was amazed how easy it is to feel good! Like Yoga, this gentle practice taps into the idea that our bodies hold innate healing wisdom, and we ourselves are our own best healers. Qigong integrates movement, breath, and focused intent to improve physical health and mental clarity.
I love to share the teachings of Yoga and Qigong with others. My classes are designed to be fun, accessible, and tailored to all levels. Expect a unique blend of yoga and qigong, where we’ll explore both the physical and spiritual benefits of these practices. You might find a little qigong in each of my yoga classes, and a little yoga in each qigong class.
I have taught Yoga and Qigong in Oregon, Mexico, California, and also online. I wholeheartedly believe that the physical benefits of Yoga and Qigong give enough reason to practice, but the groovy side is also fun to explore. In each of my classes, I strive to find the balance between grit and groovy, and a level of effort and ease that is suitable for each set of students.
